taylor.solar
User experience & interface design
A redesigned interface for taylor’s energy management system. Connecting solar panels, batteries, and the grid into one clear overview. The goal was to make complex energy data feel simple, visual, and intuitive.
As the UI/UX designer, I focused on improving clarity and usability through features like live monitoring, panel layout visualization, system installation, and historic data insights. Alongside this, I developed a scalable design system with reusable components to support future product features and maintain visual consistency across the platform.

Energy Flow Visualizations
The central visual shows a live energy flow between solar panels, battery, household, and grid. Designed to be readable at a glance while offering deeper drill-downs for curious users.
Energy Distribution Visualizations
The dashboard gives users a clear view of how their energy is being used and where it’s coming from. Whether it’s directly from solar panels, drawn from the battery, or imported from the grid.
Historical & Real-Time Data
Track trends over time with comparison modes (day/week/month) and live performance stats. Balancing simplicity and control with a clean visual system.
Behind every polished interface lies a messy but valuable process of exploration. The taylor dashboard went through countless iterations. A journey of testing, refining, and simplifying until everything felt just right.
